shortly thereafter to the launch of John Masters Organics, the first comprehensive, luxury-organic hair care line. Still working quietly from his
apartment, John (and the products) managed to attract a large and diverse "conscious clientele," and in 1994, he opened his first Soho salon.
Under the name John Masters Organics, the salon quickly gained recognition as the only "clean-air salon" in Manhattan, meaning, they simply would not offer services - perms, manicures and many kinds of color - that require the use of toxic chemicals.
In ensuing years, the visionary John Masters Organics concept has continued to gather momentum.
In 2001, the salon outgrew its original space and moved to the current Sullivan St.
location.
In the same year, John launched a line of paraben-free, organic facial skin care in response to overwhelming customer demand
